Mr. Gates possesses a strong background in pharmaceutical operations, marketing and finance. Mr. Gates spent 1965-1995 at Lederle Laboratories, holding a variety of positions with growing responsibility, the last being Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Immunex Corporation, a biotechnology company which was majority owned by Lederle.
Then, in 1995, Mr.Gates was recruited to launch a specialty distribution business to the oncology physician market, ASD Specialty Healthcare. He held the position of Vice President and General Manager. ASD grew to the number two specialty distributor within 4 years of launch with $600M in revenues and $43M in profits. Subsequently, Mr. Gates served as CEO of Integrity Pharmaceutical Corporation from 1999-2002. The company was selected as the number one private company presenting at the Deutsche Bank Healthcare Conference in 2002. In this venture, Mr. Gates developed strong relationships with key investors, investment bankers and healthcare analysts.
Mr. Gates has also served on various boards, including; Optx Corporation of Denver, CO, United Way of Central Illinois, Faith Lutheran Church and the Indiana Health Industry Forum. Mr. Gates holds a B.S. in Biology from Augustana College, and an MBA from the School of Business: Northern Illinois University. Currently Mr. Gates is consulting and performing business advisory services. |
